I've had good luck with some large, thick rubber bands on smaller boxes. My wife bought them for me from a wood supply store and, at first, I thought they were silly. Turns out they really work and squeeze out doesn't seem to stick to them.
When all is said and done, there is usually a whole lot more said than done.

Note the cut outs in the scrap boards, at 45* they hold the jaws.I'm both dyslexic and paranoid. I keep thinking I'm following someone.
