    Very handy effort
tell him he's done it now, will have to come up with bigger, better, more ornate projects for the future
maybe if he stuffs up a couple of projects she'll let him equip his own shed

The great thing is that you have an 18yr old grandson who is interested in woodwork and wants to use your tools. Now there's an opening to spend lots of quality time with him. You're a lucky man...

Your grandson might enjoy making some tools, like a bowsaw and handplanes etc

Default ..have to think out side the square .....

What an awsome effort....you must be so very proud....

Now, best of all I love the handle....you see...he's made a "jewelry box"...now if I was that young lady I would be staying very attached... he made it sturdy...with heavy duty handle...."mmmm"....to me that means he intends to fill it with lots....lots....lots..of good heavy jewelry.....
    .......... I like his style......

Lets start thinking out of the square.....lol.....NO REALLY AWSOME !!!

.....I would want to share my shed.....imagine the inspiration you've instilled.... congratulation......

Don't think you're playing it safe by walking in the middle of the road.....that's the surest way to get hit by traffic coming from both ways!
I'm passionate about woodwork.......making Sawdust again & loving it!

Well done to the young bloke.

His understanding that "HE" can make things himself and that Grandad is a mine of information and valuable resources shows to me that all your family have instilled some very important values in him. (Are you sure you are related to such a great young bloke?)

I think with this wonderful start, he will have no problems allowing a bit more time for such projects and learning the finer points of joinery, design and style.
