Jarrah with Silver Ash inlay
This is my latest box that I have completed.
I really enjoy box making - I think this is about my 7th all up.
The next one I make i'm going to do a different design to test my skills.
This one is Jarrah and Qld Silver Ash inlay. Sanded to 1200 with two coats of organoils danish oil.
I only took one pic of the final finish which I am a little peeved about as it's a shocker. The box is now at it's new home - lesson learnt.

What do you reckon went wrong with the finish Andy??
I'll re-phrase that..
What aren't you happy about the finish??Last edited by watson; 19th September 2010 at 09:51 AM. Reason: Re-phrasing the question

I think the single photo was a shocker, not the finish Watson.

Yeah the photo is a shocker.... I wish I had taken better ones.
Next box will be a frame and panel style lid with barrell hinges ... Might do a WIP.

Looks great. You should take a better photo of the finished box and post it. We'd like a closer look at the finish you've acheived.
Cheers,

Allan,
The box was made for someone to give to somebody as a present. So I won't be able to get any more pics
