    Default Queensland walnut jewellery box

This jewellery box is made using European poplar as a base for some fiddle back Queensland walnut veneer. The lid panel is walnut burl veneer surrounded with some shop made veneer banding. The skirt is also Queensland walnut. Inside the lid is lined with Queensland veneer and features one of my hand crafted motifs. The removable tray is made from silver ash and lined with felt. The box is approximately 225mm x 170mm x 75mm deep, and finished with sanding sealer and sprayed lacquer.

Up to your usual top quality. I have some Silver Ash here and can see that I need to use it to make some enhancements inside a box as the contrast looks really good.

Another gem from the master. I like the special touch with the insert on the underside of the lid . . . . or were you just hiding something!
