I found a picture on a web site called Geoffrey Rowe furniture, which should help identify just what a Tombola Box looks like. Cherry and walnut make this box a delight to cast eyes on.

    Hi Tara
It can be a pain looking for ideas or a design.

A rectangular box would be the simplest wooden box. Just like a shoe box.

The more sides, the more the box looks like a cylinder. I think 5 or six sides would look good.
The pic is a 30 sided box that may one day be a drum.
It is easy enough to make. Just divide 360 by the number of side to find the angle to set a saw blade.
You could use the same idea and put wood ends and a door on it.

I don't know how much effort you want to put into the tombola or the equipment you have so this might not be any help.
