Default A couple of good clean boxes

    Hi Meaded,
Well done on a couple of different boxes! Welcome to the forum.
Try experimenting with different hinges, hidden pegs for the whale, thinner box walls etc.

I look forward to seeing more of your work.

    regards
    Billy

Nicely done on both types of box!

The whales are great... I rather like the visible pins.

I'd like to see the walls a bit thinner on the Jatoba box but, again, that's just my personal taste. It's hard to see in the pix, but the top surface of the lid is one piece that has been bevelled? You didn't have any problems with finishing the end grain? (I only ask 'cos I haven't worked Jatoba before... but I might, if I can get my grubby mitts on some. ) It looks like the diagonals don't quite meet the lid corners?
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.
