    Default Wood Slab finish

How do you finish gouges and holes in slab tops? Do you fill with estapol and let it set or is there another product for this job?

    Hi Stainso, welcome on board.

Instead offering advice about your specific problem I'll suggest you try the "search" feature of this forum?

Do you see the search button on the menu above? Click on it and enter some key words like "filling" "holes" "slabs" that should provide about a half day's worth of info.

Oh yeah, and don't use estapol to fill the holes.

    Cheers

Some people use epoxy resin (some extra clear ones are available), others use car bog (plastic filler) tinted with powder colours (concrete colours work okay). My own preference is to use nothing unless the holes/cracks are a potential food trap (bothers some people, others not) in which case I use 24hour araldite (epoxy resin) either powder tinted to roughly match the wood or tinted black.
