10x4" 10ply walnut snare drum
hey guys, thougth i would share,
here is a shell i completed the other day.
its 10ply ameircan walnut. i built the shell myself (with alot of problems) Andy's Adventure in Drum Building
i can go into the details of how i did it a bit more if you want. most of it is documented on the blog/

haha, yeah i do need to get the rest of them. im going to build a new 14" mould this week, well actually maybe not. i was going to do it today but have hard a hard weekend.
anyway yeah so i plan on getting the moulds to make a kit soon. like in 6months maybe.

what i did was use spray on polyurethane, about 10-15 coats, then i wet sand it down so it was almost paper thin, to 2500 grit. then i used some cut and polish for a car, cant remember the brand right now and buffed it out by hand.
I think i also used linseed oil on it before the poly.
