Bound Bits
Heres what ive been over the last 2 days.
I did take more pics, but they are still on my mobile,,, cause I didnt have the proper camera handy.
Started on the binding and its looking pretty good. All I have to do now is fill in the channel with pearl. Thats more time consuming than it sounds,,,, bugger.
I have been thinking about adding some sort of design in pearl too, but just not sure what. I was thinking about a "part" pentagram comming off the arm rest area,,, or inside the scratchplate.
I'll see what happens when i get to that. Nothings decided yet.
Oh and no ones noticed just how sloped my bridge was on the design.
Maybe the fretboard might give you a better idea?
So thats what ive been up to so far. Might have to fill in that binding channel tomorrow.
And I do hate the smell of pearl while cutting it. Blahhhhhh
Or i might just cut the fret board out and slot it. I think I have a pretty cool idea for the dot markers too,, so im keen on doing that some time soon.

Oh you are a pedantic tart Andrew.
I like a little resonance to my solid bodies thanks, thinning down New Guinea Rosewood would just kill that off.
Did I measure them like you told me to?,,,,,as you are well aware,,,,no!
Did I finish reading the litrature you sent,,,,,,, no! I'm winging it.
And besides, the neck is gonna be a bolt on, so no real drama if I f*%k something up.
Oh and ill be setting the intonation before I glue the bridge down.

Well, I wanted it to be a month, but everyone got pissy about that so we made it 2 months.
Being that it started at the first of this month, that would mean it will finish on the 30 or 31st of June.
Thats why ive been really slow at it,,,and decided to add a bit of pearl,,,,, plenty of time.

What I did on my summer vac,,,, no,, What I did today
Well, I didnt really do much today. Or at least it doesnt look like it.
I leveled off the back of the body, cleaned up the neck, thought about shaping the fretboard (but didnt), then I went on to do a tiny bit of pearl inlaying.
Doesnt look too flash just yet, but should come up pretty good when cleaned up.
