This would be the pick of them. Best Western on Mahoney's Rd in Thomastown is probably about 2 miles away. Dead simple to find my place from.
http://www.bestwestern.com.au/melbou...eys-motor-inn/
Its showing rooms at $117, by checking online just now.
Directly accross the road from there is the Excelsior Hotel. http://www.theexcelsiorhotel.com.au/. Its a pub with hotel rooms, It has pokie machines and a licence through to about 6.00am. Not sure how peacefull it would be. I think they do rooms for $90, or a double single bed room for a $100
Regards Phil.

My mate Bruce and I stayed at The Best Western Mahoney's Motor Inn during the second scraping course. It was comfortable and quiet.

The Excelsior is OK. I've stayed there a couple of times. Not great, but acceptable. PDW

I'm getting pretty excited. I have already got some ideas for scraping projects, or I might never want to see a scraper again..............

G'day Phil,
Thanks, we did what any decent person would do and took care of a bloke in a terrible situation. I am ex-firefighter so I am no stranger to tragedy. Jan Sverre - the gent who organized the courses both in Norway and Sweden saw him off at the airport for me. It was a logistics problem as rush hour hit us so we had to get him on a train so he would make his flight.
Hopefully you guys will have a less eventful time. I was happy to see the Swedish scraping class featured in the local rag Looks like they had a great time.
Paul.

Two weeks Yikes. I better pull my finger out. I still have about 3 weeks prep to do.
In other news. I just bought a fridge to keep here. The little bar fridge I have here is too small. Found an Ebay special that should keep us feed and watered for both weekends.
Regards Phil.

Just wondering if we need to bring anything to the class? For the Melbournians would it help to bring a milling vice etc or is there plenty to go around??
Also will we need to bring cash for items being sold on the day or is everything included in the course fee?…..Live a Quiet Life & Work with your Hands
