Was out there this afternoon helping the lad setup.

All seems to be in order and ready to go.

I'll be there as (self appointed) official photographer on the Saturday but can't do Sunday.
    Can't wait.

Got out for a visit as well.

It was a chance to start matching faces with forum identities.

8.00 P.M I've had enough, I'm going home. We are as ready as we will every be. If there's a stone unturned, that just means we haven't swept hard enough.

Special thanks to Stu, that has been here since 10 am. The place is purged clean.

If any of you hooligans staying up at the Mahoney's see this before 10. If you could take a wander across the road and hand pick the nastiest cheap plonk, I mean the best wine you can find for around 10 bucks a bottle. Tomorrow night is BYO wine only. 5-6 whites, 5-6 reds. Keep the receipt, and I'll sort that out.

Bob and Bruce did that for me last time. Serious booze hounds on a budget. And bring it in, so the whites are cold. In the past we have gone straight to dinner from here, because the beatings don't stop until 6.30. But if you get away by 6.00 there's time to slip past the hotel for a scrub / change.

See you all in the morning. Yee Har

    Regards Phil.

Indeed - I thought a hush had descended on the forum this morning as we all eagerly awaited news on putting metal to the metal.

Start with a small block of metal. A few hours to make it flat, a few hours to make it square, a few hours to make it parallel. try explaining that to someone else!
Then it takes pride of place in the workshop.

Thinking of you all this morning, & the wonderful memories of the class of April 2012.
Your probably having the morning tea break as I write.
Wish I was there with everyone !
Will go into my workshop this morning, to do some scraping, to keep the memory alive.
Hope Steamwhisperer Phil, gets some good photos.
    All the best !
    regards
    Bruce

    Arrr memories...

Pitty I can't stay late due to work commitments. I'd be inclined to brew up some gluhwein. While I usually leave it for winter camping, any excuse would do!

    See you guys tomorrow!!!!

Girl, I don't wanna know about your mild-mannered alter ego or anything like that." I mean, you tell me you're, uh, super-mega-ultra-lightning babe? That's all right with me. I'm good. I'm good.

We just finished for the day and I'm sitting in the Chinese waiting with blue hands for the rest of the guys to turn up.

Sore arms, hands, shoulders, neck and feet.

What a great day, learned heaps, made a few mistake,s and ate too much.
Marco and Phil are just the best.

I have a bunch of photos - might be able to download some later tonight.

    Meanwhile back to the food.

The enthusiasm of youth! I was done in by lunch time and I started with a block that had one side pretty much done. Had to open a beer at 5:30 to get the rest of them to down tools.
Great day again thanks Phil, pick a few things I'd forgotten and to move the lapping plate up the list of things I need.
Good to be able to put some facing to the names, though its a bit of a blur atm as to who was who.
Now time for a nap for this old man. lol
