Tieg frid stool
Hi planning on making one of these stools, I have found some useful stuff
on YouTube to help with the visual, but I am wondering if any body has
some dimensions?

I think that the guy you are referring to is "Tage Frid". He was an absolutely prolific woodworker and woodwork teacher in the USA - died in 2004 I believe. He designed and built numerous stool designs, amongst many other objects. Execute the following Google search, and you'll get a huge set of photographs of Tage Frid designed woodwork items as a search result.
https://www.google.com.au/search?q=t...ed=0CAYQ_AUoAQ
Tage Frid used to write quite regularly for Fine Woodworking magazine. One of his designs is available for download from the following web site: http://www.finewoodworking.com/woodw...with-tray.aspx It is a "member only", but if you sign up for the free trial membership, you get to access the download, and many other. There may be more of his designs available for download on this site.
Tage Frid also wrote a few books. The one that I havem and that you might find useful is this one, as it is a three volume set of all his books, plus a teaching DVD that he did. The books include detailed drawings for some of Tage Frid's designs: http://www.tauntonstore.com/tage-fri...id-070880.html
Hope you found that information useful.

Tage FRid
Hi Roy,
Thank you for all that info, will be a big help. Off to get timber in a day or two, still a bit unsure of a couple of details but with
all that reference material hope I can work it out, especially some of the angles!
That series of books seem like a good idea, have to put on my Christmas list.
Thanks Leon

Hi Neil,
Yes the three legged one. What I am curious to know is mainly angles, seat front to back, and splay etc.
Also wanted to know if length of the 3 legs are all the same, and just the angles give it the backward tilt,
if you know what I mean?
Thanks

Tage Frid Stool
I have had the same set for about 25 years - Taunton still sell it new (with a dvd) for about 90 usd - Keep an eye on the christmas specials
In the page before the one you have Tage mentions that he has made these stools in three different heights and seems to imply that the footprint of the legs compared to the top is the essential dimension.
The lower the stool the more splay on the legs
As I wrote before private message me your address and I will send you the full 10 pages of drawings and construction details
