    Geez that is wide. I wonder what the timber will be like. Look forward to pics. Take some of the Cockspur too , I love the stuff

    Acacia log and some more Mango...also a pic of the Bougainvillea stem
    Took pics of the 'biggest' Mango and a medium Bunya but they didn't turn out for some reason ...always tomorrow ...MM

    Took this pic today
    Shows the surface (below the bark) of the sapwood,of a branch that had been under heavy compression
    Look closely and you'll notice the 'interlocked' grain pattern
    It will produce beautiful figure
    The question is often raised on this forum regarding how to identify fiddleback occurring within a log by way of visual examination.
    This is one example...MM

    I assume the Bougainvillea is the second last photo, and the fiddle is in Mango?

    Some interesting timber coming up here. What is the Bunya like? You haven't made much mention except that it is medium sized. Probably not like some of those in the Bunya mountains! I am growing a couple, but I don't think they will be ready in time (make that my time) .

    I am interested in the Bunya, although I don't really know what I would do with it. Is it large enough to get some 150mm x 25mm boards out of it rather than slabs?
