We can still deliver elements as per attached pictures. These are made of CHACO low friction material.
Please check if dimensions are correct. Width is given, because it is a pressed part. For the 90° ones you can have a different lengths if necessary.

As for the other spare parts, could you please name what you need and we will have a look if we have some left in stock. Pictures of the individual parts with dimension will always help...

You just got to love the Swiss

the current Swiss Franc / AUD exchange rate is almost the same as the USD / AUD rate

Admittedly, I've not bought many tools in Switzerland and when travelling have avoided the big cities except on weekends, but in general, as a tourist, I've found accommodation and living costs in Switzerland to be less than in Australia -- except when buying meat.

My balls are bigger than your balls.

So "normal" wooden bowling balls are ~5 1/2" diameter?

Yeah I noticed the Swiss frank and US dollar are about equal.

I'm going to order some wear strips ("elements" as Chaco call them). They're not cheap (CHF 12.20 each), but it's easier and less stressful than hoping to win another wooden bowling ball auction . At Swiss prices I decided not to get a spare thrust wheel. Worse thing is they don't accept Paypal, nor Visa, so I'll have to pay a hefty bank charge as well. Aah, the joys of doing up old tools .

    Cheers, Vann.

If it were me, I think I'd get the spare thrust wheel. The marginal cost will be quite small once you factor in the postage, bank fee, and crappy bank controlled exchange rate.

Another 89 Swiss francs = $135.50 NZD . I suppose the postage won't change much, and I'll only encounter the bank fee once.

I'll have to sleep on that (probably for several nights).

    Cheers, Vann.

    Default New Parts

I decided against ordering the spare thrust wheel, the NZD/SF exchange rate being what it is . I ordered six new 'elements*' (wear strips), and following a failed attempt by the postie to deliver them last Saturday (they had to be signed for and we were out), I picked them up on Tuesday.

Chaco3.jpg six new 'elements' to left, four existing worn 'elements' to right.

I guess these will last the rest of my lifetime (and then some).

    Cheers, Vann.

    * I guess if the manufacturer calls them "elements" then that's their official title
