Elmer's School glue suitable for woodwork?
I am in the process of gluing 3mm wide stringing to a box lid, as shown below. I normally use Selley's Outdoor Aquadhere PVA glue, but it is difficult to get a nice narrow run of glue with the nozzle on it.
I was in Spotlight today, and saw Elmer's School Glue with a nice narrow nozzle. It looks and feels like PVA glue. Their website says :Elmer’s School Glue is a washable, no-run glue that is easy to use and stays where you put it. It is safe, non-toxic and washable, so accidental messes mean easy clean-up!
Does anyone have any experience with this Elmers product in woodwork, particularly in gluing stringing?

I googled it but none of the things I found really says what it is. That being the case I would be looking for some real wood glue.

I found out that this is the first glue invented that actually washed out of clothes. So I tipped it all down the drain and filled the neat little container with some of my Selleys External Aquadhere PVA glue. Stringing finished !

Manufacturers always make grand claims. I would have thought hide glue was the first that could be washed out of clothes. Anyhow you had the right applicator for the job so final result is what counts. Nice looking box there.
