Kangaroo leather pen case COPPIED from Pen Turning
So I've been making all those pens and pencils on my ghetto lathe-type contraption, now I needed something to put them in.
This is a gift for the Mrs
This is all done by hand with a very basic leatherworking kit. There was also some wet forming involved, I made a mould on the router for that.
Bit of work involved the first time, now I can probably make on in an hour or so.
Edge painting is a PITA though, near impossible to keep it from bleeding over the rounded edges ... gotta find some solution for that.
But overall I'm mostly pleased with it, what do you think?
Cheers

Anyway the reason I'm posting it here is in case someone wants to make one of those for their pens, I can show you the process.

That looks really good Spyro. I reckon you could sell them if you were inclined.

Very neat indeed especially seeing it is all done by hand. Pretty fancy pens you've made too.
Agree with Brad, they would be a sellable (is that a word) item if you wanted to go down that path.Dallas

I don't really sell anything, these are for the family and gifts etc, but it's great to know it looks good enough to sell
