    Default saving utube videos

Can you save utube videos to your hard drive? Is it doable or allowable?

You can also simply put the URL of the youtube video into the text box on this site: www.keepvid.com and click 'Download'.

You can download the free video player for it from here: http://www.avs4you.com/AVS-Video-Con...keepvid&cid=58

There are a number of browser plug ins and other apps to do it. Which one you settle on is up to you. be aware they are flv format (macromedia flash) so programs like windows media player probably won't play it. Again there are free apps you can download to play them.

I've gone another step recently and figured out how to make DVD's that I can play on the TV.

That's the "doable" half of the question answered...

Are you using the 'VideoDownloader' plugin? That's not compatible with FF3.0 and isn't being supported anymore. I replaced it with the 'Fast Video Download' plugin instead.

Ditto for a few other older plugins...

I hate to be a spoilsport, but under the utubes terms of agreement, you are not allowed to download the videos for later off-site viewing.
