Not very hard. It's basically a 3 step process but a time consuming one. You aquire your video files by whatever means. If they are flv or some other format that nero doesn't like you download a conversion program. I tried several free ones before I found one that worked. Unfortunately it only allows me to cue one video at a time so I have to monitor it. Then I use nero's DVD making function to convert them to the right format and construct the dvd menus and stuff. nero rocks, it's just absolutely dead easy, like a wizard thing. I use the version that came bundled with my computers dvd burner. It's probably 4 years old now, doesn't do animated menu panes, and I haven't tried to do anything fancy with it, but the result is I can make fairly professional looking DVD's that work in my player. Sometimes you have to have several goes at building the DVD. It cna break sometimes, although that might just be my computer. It takes a long time to do it's processing thing. They way to do it is have it running and come back and check on it periodically.
If you have a camcorder and make videos with it the nero stuff will allow you to do all sorts of editing, like inserting chapter breaks and stuff, then make a dvd that you can watch on TV. Then you can burn copies for family/friends. I'm hopeless with consumer electronics so if I can use the thing anyone can...
Hope that helps.I'm just a startled bunny in the headlights of life. L.J. Young.
