    Default ML-392 specs question

I'm considering purchasing an ML-392 combination planer/thicknesser and looking at the specs on the Timbecon and Carbatec websites cannot understand if these are supposedly the same machine why some of their specs are so different.

    1) Planing height is listed by Timbecon as 130 mm, Carbatech has 180 mm
    2) Planing speed is listed as 3.6 m/min by T and 8 m/min by CT?

Is there really that much difference between these machines? Can anyone with these machines post what their values are for these 2 specs.

I am also slightly amused by the 4mm dust extraction port listed for the CT machine.

    Thanks

Maximum material thickness for thicknessing on mine (C-tec) is 190mm. I'd guess the feed speed is 3.6m/min, but never checked it.

Although the scale reads max depth of 190 on mine, (Carba-tec , older model, about 2 years old) it only goes to 180. It won't drop down to the 190 mark due to the thickness of the table itself.

    Feed rate, sorry, not sure.

I have a manual so if you want me to email a copy, PM me.

    Default Ml 392

I have the AW106PT which the Carbarec machine and is the also sold by Axminster in the UK. In the manual it has a feed speed of 6m per minute. There are I think some differences to the ML392 which are rollers on the ends of the thicknesser table and mine has switching on both ends of the machine with a decent emergency stop. There may be some others, mind you Timbecon have 10% off today.
