I'm excited, but just to clarify so I don't plunge into depression if I've got it wrong. I've ordered a complete set of both firmer and parer's, so please tell me that my firmer's will be posted out with everyone else's this coming week and not held till the paring chisels are ready????? Please
regards Mick

Nice to see the firmers ready to go out. The socket and sheoak blend perfectly, and the lines are just as I envisiged way back when. Thanks to , Ray & Josh for carying it along.
I ask those blokes who get theses tools to bring them together, and if you could share pics of the finished firmers assembled in all their glory then it is what makes me happy.

Shipping
I have sent out a PM to everyone that ordered Firmer Chisels, at least I think I did; my internet gave me a error for one of the group messages (sorry if you got multiple PM's). If you did not get a PM please send me one with you current shipping address.

Firmer Chisel Handles
I unpacked all the firmer chisels this morning and spread them out, counted them and then teamed them up with their sockets getting them ready to be wrapped up. I decided that I would colour/grain match them in the sets that they will be going out with. They look so good I took a couple of pictures.

The bad news is the tally is off by three handles I have sent off a PM to Thumbsucker to double check the quantities and allocations... Just thought I would let you guys know what is going on... Hopefully we can get it sorted with enough time to still get to them in the post today.

"Fudge a duck was" my expression when I saw all the sets. They have come together nicely.
I cannot access the file any longer as the spreadsheet is on a special computer.
This is the problem being so spread out over time and space. However I was very certain that 79 would be enough I checked three times. As confirmed a few times.
I will have to get to turn three more. I have sent him a PM . I assume you have enough sockets and ferrules. Josh will most likely have to post a socket a ferrule back to for three handles.
This should only hold up one person, not all the firmer chisel recipients.

Hi Peoples,
The Following people look out for the postie carrying a large white plastic bubble post bag or padded brown heavy packages as they have been posted to you either on Friday or this morning. Be careful unpacking even though the blades have been dipped in protective coating the pointy end can still push through. Enjoy.

Don't forget to post pics when you get them or have them assembled.

Chisels arrived this morning. Beautiful job. Really beautiful! I hope I can do as good a job as on the handles (probably not ). At least I have the incentive to finish the restoration on the lathe .
In the meantime I'm going to set myself up with a market stall and do the "Find the lady trick." .

Glad to hear they arrived safe and sound.
I'm just about to head down to the post office to drop off a parcel for:
javali
If anyone knows who TruckieMuzz is in real life give him a prod as I'm just waiting on his delivery address.
Sorry Chambezio you draw the short straw on the short fall of the handles. I'll see if I can get a little extra surprise put in for you.

I also haven't had a PM about my postal address.(May be because you are not up to my order yet)
While I am here I will give to you any way
I hope you are being paid for your time through all this. The whole scheme has gone on a bit too long (just my feelings).
I am not blaming any one. I think for a Group Buy to be affective it needs to happen and end quickly to keep the punters happy.
By the photos others have sent in with their finished blades, I am looking forward to having a "hand made" set of Firmers.
Thanks again I hope that there is no confusionJust do it!
Kind regards Rod
