Thanks for clearing that up. A set of six sound awesome, thanks.

Hi Can I add another 2" #4 blade combo to my order ? I know it's late and will understand if I miss this one. 3.5mm sounds good for chisels. Phil

pommyphil I have added another 2" blade to your order, bringing the total to 5 blades.
Rat52 has picked a set of ten chisels up and this means their are only three chisels sets left.

Helmut
About chisels.
If they are 2.5mm I'd like a set of six. If the bigger ones are out of thicker steel then I'd like a set of ten chisels please.
Once more thanks for all your work.Cheers
Jim

I've heard 2.5, 3.5, and 4.5mm mentioned. I'm assuming that 3.5 is the correct dimension for chisel thickness.
So the chisels will be 300mm long right?
Will the chisels come with a tang pre cut?
What kinda bevelled edge are we talking about? Blue Spruce style? (right down to the back)
I'll take two sets, on of which I'll chop in half to make some stubby chisels. Both sets with a bevelled edge. No tang on either.
Now all these chisels are going to need handles..I volunteer to be the official handle maker , if we organise handles at the same time as the chisels then it'll be alot easier.

Caliban the chisels are 3.5 mm thick. I have put your name down for 1 set of 10.
I am waiting for Rippon to get back to me as to the cost. I hope to have three edges beveled. Much like the blue spruce.
Funky I cannot do want you are asking for. See the PDF I attached a few post's back on the chisel that is what is up on the table.
2 chisel sets are still up for grabs.

haosiliu235 I have put you down for a set of six.
Funky, all chisels will come with tangs, if you want to try cutting the tangs away that is your business. Also how are you going to cut them the chisels in half? A hacksaw? The chisel blades will be 180 mm long and the tang will be 75 mm long.
We cannot meet everyones needs these will be long pairing chisels much like the blue spruce chisels. If that is not what you are after then, it best to not get any.
There is ONE sets of 10 chisels left.

I see no problem with my idea. I'll cut a tang on the other side of the chisels. Lop 'em in half (not with a hacksaw, already tried cutting M2 with a hacksaw) I'll use a grinder or something. I'll then have two 125mm long chisels. One with a 75mm tang and 50mm of blade, one with a 75mm blade and 40mm tang.
Nice stubby ones
If I can even just get the blanks, no tang no bevels then that'd be good

Funky, if that is what you intent to do (make your own lenght) you might be better of buying M2 from http://www.mcjing.com.au/woodworking...H.S.STEEL.asp/ just like bobl did for the set of chisels he made up.
Or I can just give you a square sheet, just like Bobl is getting and you can cut it up to your hearts content.
GoGuppy that one is yours.
