    Default Flexible hoses

Thanks for the links for the hoses. Will check Bunnies tomorrow - looks good. Nearest Masters is across the other side of Sydney but it looks? similar to what I have. As you say, the Festool is pricey per metre. I may get a price on the Bosch hose if the the fitting from Amazon is O/K and the hose from Bunnies is not suitable.

Interesting update on the fittings - in the USA they come as a STANDARD accessory in every Bosch ROS package

    Default GEX 125 extractor fitting

The VAC024 extraction fitting I ordered from Amazon USA arrived today. Perfect fitting to connect the GEX to a vacuum hose - should be, as it comes standard with the ROS in the USA.
Internal ribs make it a snug and secure fitting to the GEX outlet.

I believe Bosch are doing a great disservice to purchasers of their equipment in Australia by not supplying the correct fittings for their equipment, to limit dust pollution.

Thanks for the info Lappa and confirming that VAC024 is the part we need. I can confirm that part number 1609 390 474 is NOT compatible - it just arrived in at my local hardware store today after 2 months delivery from Bosch (!) and is too big. This is the part that the bosch rep in Manilla recommended.

While I was at the hardware store who should turn up but a Bosch Rep - we collared him and praised his wonderful product and after sales accessories support.... advised him of the dilemma and after a quick peruse of his catalogue stated "sorry that part is not available in this country (NZ and I suspect Australia)". He did take a photo of my sander and was going to "ask around".

I guess I'll have to stump up $AUS36 and get one out of the States via Amazon (and rethink my tool choice).

I suppose it would be too hard for the rep to become proactive and push for it to become available here and way too hard for him to offer to keep you informed of the companies reaction.

The people I spoke to at Bosch Melbourne could not have cared less about my dilemma. It was basically "we don't keep it and we won't order it in".
