I lay down my coats of Shellawax or Shellawax Glow and then use the EEE to cut the polish and finish the pen that way.

    Hi Darren
What you say intrigues me. Could you explain in more detail what you mean by using UBeut finishes in reverse. Would have thought that EEE was the basic starting point, but am willing to be enlightened.

    Dusty,
Great pens all, but the Sheoak is my favorite. Nicely done.

Geoff we both use Micro Mesh I sand all the way to 12000. EEE is basically a cut and polish for finishes on timber. By using the EEE first it does not cut and polish you actually lay down a wax coating, so therefore the Shellawax friction polish sits on the wax and does not penetrate into the timber. I use Shellawax friction polish in the same way as CA. I lay down several coats of Shellawax friction polish down and then use the EEE to cut and polish the Shellawax friction polish. By laying the friction polish down first it penetrates into the timber and allows you to build more layers of polish.

    Hi Darren
Thank you for the explanation. That makes sense and will try it on the next pen.
    Regards.
