    Default You gotta see this.

I just had to show you this. My grandson, aged 18 came over last week end and told me he wanted to make a jewellery box for his girlfriends birthday today. I told him time was against him and he wouldnt be able to make anything special in the time allotted but was welcome to use my shed and equipment and he went ahead anyway. The first picture is how it all started. going good.. Second picture is finished almost. Just one finishing touch needed. So he went out a bought a handle for it. and picture 3 shows just that. ... Look at the handle. Well he was pleased with his effort and last I saw of it was in the boot of his car on its way to his girlfriend. Isn't love wonderful?
Anyway. good news. I saw him today down at the local shopping centre and his girl friend was still with him. so I guess it just proves that true love really is blind.
I have to say though this was the first time he has attempted any kind of woodworking so I got to take my hat off to him for that.

    Cheers John

    Thumbs up Jewellery box

THAt is awonderful effort under normal circumstances, but given the time constraints he has really excelled!

I think that is a great box for a first project! The boy obviously has your skills.
When all is said and done, there is usually a whole lot more said than done.
