Thread size outboard of spindle on an AL336

Hi

Does anyone know what the thread is on the outboard end of the spindle for an AL336 please.

Unfortunately I don't have a thread guage yet and trying to measure it I get either 16.15 TPI or a pitch of 1.576mm. Neither of which are very likely.

It looks like the major diameter is 41mm (1 5/8") and a minor diameter of 39mm (1.5 ").

I have an AL340. Not the same but I measured it anyway. It was definitely 1.5mm pitch but the OD was a bit odd. It measured 49.48mm. I am going to assume their finished thread size would be 49.5mm. Yours could be an odd size too but still using 1.5mm pitch.

Thanks Steamwhisperer, I will work on a pitch of 1.5mm.

I found a bit of pipe off a treadmill which is just a fraction oversize for the thread and was going to get some threading practice tomorrow.

Better buy myself a thread guage in the near future.

You will find it's 1.5mm thread pitch, we where discussing it on here a while back and it seems the size varies a bit in diameter. This might help you out.
